MOSAIC Laser Treatment

Who else wants dramatic skin rejuvenation and resurfacing?

Restore Acne Scars, Ageing, Scarred and Sun Damaged Skin

Scars (also called cicatrices) are areas of fibrous tissue that replace normal skin (or other tissue) after injury. A scar results from the biologic process of wound repair in the skin and other tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process. With the exception of very minor lesions, every wound (e.g. after accident, disease or surgery) results in some degree of scarring. Scar tissue is not identical to the tissue that it replace and is usually of inferior functional quality. For example, scars in the skin are less resistant to ultraviolet radiation, and sweat glands and hair follicles do not grow back within scar tissue.

Do you have a scar that you don’t like? Have you had cosmetic surgery and been left with unwanted scarring?

Before and after scar removalAcne scars, unwanted pigmentation, fine or even deep lines, sagging skin and scars can all have deep emotional and psychological effects on our lives. Thankfully with MOSAIC Fractional Laser System there is an answer to all those skin problems.

The Mosaic Fractional laser is the first technology that can produce dramatic improvements to aging and sun-damaged skin with almost no downtime. The results are elimination of unwanted pigment and blemishes, improvement in texture, fine lines as well as deep lines, and even skin tightening and improvement of scars.

“Dear Lucy and Diane, I’ve had many treatments over the years (Thermage, fraxel, fillers etc) but without a doubt the laser treatment that you’ve done for me is the best by far. Thanks a lot!” Alain Duchemin

Anti-Aging - Turn Back The Clock

After your very first Mosaic Fractional Laser Treatment, you will begin to feel the difference in your skin, as it gradually becomes softer, smoother and fresher. Fine lines around your eyes will noticeably fade, as well as uneven colouring and brown spots caused by ageing and sun exposure.

After several treatments, you’ll notice how youthful and healthy your skin looks. The results are so discreet and natural that only you and your therapist will know you’ve had a laser procedure.

With minimal downtime and side effects, the MOSAIC is among the safest and most reliable resurfacing laser system available on the market today.

What is Mosaic Fractional Laser Treatment?

Mosaic is the very latest in fractional laser skin resurfacing. It provides you with a total skin rejuvenation to remedy sun damage, reduce acne scars, smooth out lines and wrinkles, improve your skin tone and elasticity, and treat surgical scars and stretch marks.

But how does Mosaic work?

Mosaic targets minute sections of your skin. Penetrating just deep enough to stimulate significant collagen renewal. While the surrounding non-affected areas aid your body’s natural recovery process, for dramatic results without significant down time.

“To all the staff at Diane Matthews Clinic. Thank you for the laser treatment on my foot. The quality of my scar has much improved in colour, size and texture. For the first time in 7 years I have been able to buy a skirt without worrying about the scar on my foot. I really appreciate it. You’ve changed my life for the better.” Louise Meehan

Are you suitable for laser treatment?

Yes! More than likely! Mosaic treatment is suitable for most people and highly recommended for individuals wanting a brighter, more even skin tone, smoother skin texture with improved skin elasticity, a reduction of wrinkles, reduced pore size and improvement to scars and stretch marks.

How is the laser treatment carried out?

MOSAIC laser treatment roomYour skin is firstly cleansed, and a topical anaesthetic is applied 30 minutes before treatment. The anaesthetic is then removed and a layer of thin gliding oil is applied to enable fluid movement of the laser applicator. During treatment, the hand piece is moved in circular motions over your skin delivering tiny microscopic laser beams. The laser will pass over the same area a number of times. Typically treatment time varies depending upon the skin condition and the area being treated, but will range from 10 to 30 minutes. After treatment your skin is cooled and a calming lotion applied. During the treatment it is essential that the provided protective eye wear is worn at all times.

How does the laser treatment feel?

A topical anaesthetic is generally applied before treatment and a cooling device is often utilised to minimise discomfort during treatment. You may have a warm, heating sensation, but it is considered tolerable by most people.

What should you expect after your laser treatment?

You will experience a mild sunburn sensation for a few hours after treatment and the skin will be red for 1 to 3 days. This is a normal sign that your skin is healing at a deep level. Swelling is likely, but minimal, and resolves in 2 to 3 days. New epidermal skin develops immediately, and as the healing process occurs, your skin may have a “bronzed” appearance that lasts from 3 to 7 days, depending on the treatment level. Your skin will naturally exfoliate and may flake as if you had mild sunburn.

Are there any side effects?

Temporary skin redness, swelling and bronzing appearance described above are all expected outcomes of the treatment. Other adverse effects are rare but can include a small blister or temporary change to skin pigmentation, such as darkening of the skin.

How many laser treatments are necessary?

You will see improvement after the first session, but for optimum results 3 to 5 treatment sessions are often advised. Treatment is carried out every 2 to 6 weeks, depending upon the level of rejuvenation required.
